Quick ‘Hello’ with a first post in November, I’m hopefull that it’s not last but weather has went to the point where I am highly uncertain of chance to get proper sunlight any time soon. Anyway, no reasons to complain as I’m in my home -that is full of love- covered in blanket.
From all the things I am, I can call myself a great dreamer first. Every new city is full of adventures and the moment you leave it, it becomes the greatest memory. Anyhow, Helsinki had the most special place in my heart forever, yet it was always bookmarked with ‘someday’.
-(Putting more into today instead of endless planning pays off (most of the time). )-
We came to the capital of Finland after… 16 hours on bus and two hours on a boat. We were crushed; my spine has turned into question mark and eyes poped out trying to keep us awake. But the excitement was taking over and in six little hours we visited:
x Suomenlinna – the island that can be reached by ferry which leaves at port next to Market Square. Island is one of the world heritage sights and is historicly important sight. Yet, for me as an Easter european it wasn’t much of an excitement, since the grounds of island tells stories of World War II monuments and Russian influence. I’m all familiar with that from my own backgrounds, anyways, it is a beautiful place covered in rocks and geese are everywhere. First two pics are actually taken there, peacefull, isn’t it?
x Market Square – the most famous market in Finland, offering lovely souvenirs from natives, it’s a good place to get something like horn pendant. Also, you can get a bag of berries or mushrooms in there.
x Tavastia + Semifinal – it was a day time so we managed to take a peak only from the outside. Yet we are really happy we found two greatest rock clubs in Finland. These where the homes for most of soon to be world known rock stars. We’ll come back there for Helldone festival, I’m pretty sure.
x Temppeliaukio church – a Rock Church. Yet it’s not called under this name because long haired dudes play there (this is what I would think, haha)- church itself is excavated into solid rock. Miraculous architecture, very modern and very extraordinary!
x Aikuisten Lelukauppa – well, if you know it, you know it. Oh, and if you don’t here’s a story: it’s an adult shop for all the kinky stuff and the owner of the shop is Kari Valo. He is a father of Ville Valo who plays vocal for ‘love metal’ band HIM. Now, shop is more attractive for fans as a place for exclusive merchandise more than sex toys. The band itself is called biggest exports of Finland ever and every supermarket is full of stuff with the band. Since we still had sentimentality for teenage rebelion years, this was a must to go to.
For the end of sightseening of this capital we passed by some other landmarks like Senate Square and Uspenski Cathedral and had a very expensive beer. Quite productive, weren’t we?
Helsinki is a small city and it’s quite new so it is good to plan ahead because it’s not majestic place for tourists eye and there is no labyrinth like streets. Yet, it’s full of Chrismtas shops and raindeers (in all shapes and forms) and don’t forget that it’s a land of moomins.
This time I couldn’t be fashionable but for stylish traveler I would definitely recommend to visit Design District
One last thing, I love about Finland it’s blue haired guys and gals in Dr. Martens wearing metal band t-shir everywhere.

This summer was like a flash of light: quick and bright. It would be a lie if I said I was working hard, or maybe I was but it more of a -working hard to enjoy a life itself- ; anyhow it was worth it. However warmth is gone, but I hope there will still have some time to walk in my summer gowns, ones like this red dress. Sooo, oldschool, minimal and, I think, I’m grown up enought to to go for this bold color.
P.s. I’ll finnish my stories of the wanderer in the next post. And, oh, I didn’t post about Lisbon and did I tell my we’re going to Paris? …Yes, life can be this pretty.

Days are just flying and I can’t believe I have to greet August already. They say that time passes by slowly for unhappy ones, so I can be no other than gratefull to be the opposite. I’m in this slow melancholic mood yet I should kick myself for being such a turtle-like for loads of reasons, one of them was stated in my instagram and it’s called engagement (!) …
What a compicated manner to share my joy, haha… I hope I will be able to hide my wedding fewer from a public eye, though it’s all I want to talk about. Nethertheless- for some reason (?)- noone wants to listed my monologues about white dress for 40 minutes. So if my closest friends are on the verge to put a sock in my mouth I have to control myself in the blog also. Ahh!
Summer came back to me bringing greetings from the second month of itself and I shall come with new posts. I’m burning to tell you all the stories, yet I want to find consistency within me. At the end of the day it is all just about my heartbeats dressed up in a shape of those new shoes I bought.
Anyhow, I’m all good and kindly real this time while reflecting summer nights of ours.

I came back to Greenwich after four year break. Sounds beyond weird, especially when you live in London, especially when its so lovely… what is more- when it’s minutes away from you. But then reality hits, you understand that you cant have everything, so most of the times I find myself spending my free time in Shoreditch and all the nasty places around. Hoxton, Dalston, Hackney… you are full of surprises every day!
Middle of the March was crazy busy, for some reason everyone was in a rush to represent their Autumn- Winter collections at the same two days.
I do remember, at first I was uncomfortable to blend in the atmosphere of the press days. When you see all those sophisticated people walking around, but now I can enjoy it to bits and- whats the most important- share it with you!
